Nas - Illmatic (1994)

Illmatic is Nas' first album, This album is a landmark in music history, and a centerpiece for rap music. My favorite track of this project is "It Ain't Hard to Tell". This cover, designed by Aimee Macauley, features a photo of Nas as a child superimposed over a backdrop of a city block, taken by Danny Clinch. The concept behind the photo of him at age 7, stating, "That was the year I started to acknowledge everything".
