Goldlink- At What Coast (2017)

This artwork was designed by New York-based artist Darius Moreno. He is a pioneer in DMV art (DC, Maryland, Virginia). This cover makes us think that it is an oil painting . My favorite song from this album is "Meditation" ft Kaytranada and Jazmine Sulivan. This cover is part of At What Cost's goal to highlight the unique culture of the tri-state area. Indeed, the DMV culture has had a great influence on art in the United States and around the world.

We can see in the foreground Goldlink with a caricature face, and behind him, you can see 2 black girls with a caricature face. Indeed, on this cover and album, you can see a desire to put in certain details to make it feel real, such as air-brushed photobooth backdrops, certain clothing. The poses are a key element used to show the stereotypes that make up the youth of the DMV."
